Spend a few days leaning in to the region’s laid back vibe, a world away from the usual tourist trail. Over 250 species of birds have been recorded within the park boundaries, including pelicans, storks, spoonbills, plovers, sandpipers and cormorants, which are all commonly spotted on bird watching safari, and the Kumana Bird Sanctuary is regarded as one of the most important breeding grounds in the country.
